Any resemblance is not mere coincidence …

In geek world there are always some kind of opposites that complete itself by some way. In games for example, Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat are opposites that are loved by the same public, they walk on the same fighting game’s path, but don’t talk each other. In animations, those who watch X-men may appreciate Dragon Ball, but they are opposite that don’t talk each other too. In the same way, Marvel & DC universes have a chronology walking on the same timing, but for too much reasons they don’t share the same universe and we can see this point of view both in Captain America Civil War to Avengers End Game and Batman vs Superman to Justice League Snyder Cut.
Who came first: Chicken or Eggs?…

Technically, both Marvel and DC started this “similar chronology” at the same time. While Batman vs Superman has been launched in the cinema on March 24th 2016, Captain America: Civil War was released just a month later, on April 28th. It’s worth remembering that Civil War has a budget of U$250 million and earns of U$1.153 billion! On the other hand, Batman vs Superman invested a budget of U$250 million in order to get a revenue of about U$874 million. Point for Marvel, who got a penny to buy an ice cream on the exit.
MMMOM!...

The same way that Iron Man and Captain America beated each other in Civil War, Batman faced Superman almost head-to-head (I said almost!). The large difference between movies in this real wife and husband fight (who is the wife?), is that Marvel emphasized teams, and as we know and psychology explains us, nobody likes to be alone, exactly what we hadn’t seen in Batman vs Superman. Marvel’s movie gives us the sensation of partnership to beat inside it’s own house, starting a question on the internet: “what team are you: Team Cap or Team Iron Man?”. Despite everything, Marvel didn’t leave behind it’s “mom’s moment”: Thor, the deconstructed hero, cries on mom’s breast looking for self-assertation. In End Game, not only Thor, but Hulk was also deconstructed by Marvel, who turned the big green guy in a pickled cucumber.
On DC side, Superman avoided death using an emotional appeal: “Mmom?...Martha?” …” My mom’s called Martha too!” and all became friends.
WHO’S THE MOMS’ TREASURE?

Both DC and Marvel traced an objective for their bad guys and heroes. Whilst DC was keeping the focus around mother boxes (C’mom motherboxer...mother, Martha?), Marvel put the focus on the infinity gems (Infinity War, got it?). In Both universes the history sounds something like Dragon Ball: to collect all the messy in order to call upon the dragon for the fulfilment of their dreams. Here we have Justice League trying to keep Steppenwolf far from the 4 mother boxes and Avengers trying to be the stone inside Thanos shoes, who tries to get the 6 infinity gems to turn itself “Inevitable”.
HE'S BADASS , BUTT WE'RE... HEROES!

After friends punch themselves out, now is the time for giving hands and fight against a common enemy. On DC universe, the evil figure arises as Steppenwolf in 2017 Justice League. On Marvel, that figure emerges as Thanos in 2018 Avengers Infinity War.
Steppenwolf shows his strong personality to the League and at the same time he's like a little pitty dog in front of the boss ("Uncle, may I come back home now?"), besides being a tiny little fly facing the relived Superman on Snyder Cut what is even worse in 2017 version, in which he is devoured by his soldiers by feeling his fear. Here is the difference between him and Thanos.
Thanos is the kind of bad guy that is impossible to feel pity for, he's admirable! The badass has a presence, objective of life, and is focccused in collect the gems at any price, even if this price costs his own daughter's life (his only weekness!). If Thanos wanna go back home, he doesn't talk about it to anyone because he knows how to keep his evil leader posture.
It's worth remembering that both Steppenwolf and Thanos had significative visual changes on movie sequences (End Game and Snyder Cut).
ONCE UPON A TIME...THE END?
By Marvel, there are two movies that complete each other: Avengers Infinity War and Avengers End Game, the last one, though the three hours of movie, two hours are complete of theory, lingering and deconstruction of Hulk and Thor, what could be considered as a first movie "review", and just in the last hour we have the outcome of the story. PS.: Heroes try to correct mistakes from the past!
On DC, it works the same way, but a little bit different. Justice League aren't two movies that complete each other...but they are the same movie, and the last one aims to correct the first. Like in Avengers, the concept of time travel is explored: Flash tries to change the past going back on time in the end of the movie, and as in Avengers, they try to rise people from death (The Superman, on this case).
Unlike Marvel, DC remade the story in Snyder Cut, they give a 4 chapter book appearance to the movie, that could be easily divided in 2 movies like Marvel had done. They made a review in several aspects like character's design and eliminate irrelevant jokes keeping the focus on the dark shade of the movie. If the first Justice League had been made for the family, Snyder Cut is not proper to children, definitely it is not a fairy tale!
Finally ...or not, Snyder Cut gives us a sign of hope to believe that one more movie is gonna come to explain Darkseid saga. Same happen to Avengers End Game, where Galactus appears followed by "The Avenders will return" on ending credits.
